The achievements of Stella Teaching and Relief Foundation over the years through the free school project includes:
Creating an awareness on the benefits of education within the villages. There is a 40% rise in the number of children seeking to go to school in the villages.
In 14 years of free school’s existence, about 130 students have completed their primary school certificate and about 15% of that number have completed their senior school certificate. Two of these students are presently in the university.
The school by reason of its partnership with the German Corporation, GIZ SEDIN has been able to train most of the parents on financial literacy. A knowledge that enables them manage their resource better in order to better provide for their families.
A few deserving students have received scholarships to study in secondary school.
Although a work in progress but there is a huge improvement in health, and hygiene practices as the organisation through the school, moves to create more awareness among the villagers.
