Free School Project

Stella Teaching and Relief Foundation in its commitment to fulfill it’s objectives of empowering vulnerable youths in underserved rural communities, in 2007 established a free nursery and primary school in Asabaala village, Obafemi-Owode L.G.A. of Ogun State.

The school serves to provide free education for children from four villages within the same vicinity, where there is no public school in close proximity and the parents or wards cannot afford to pay for private schools.

The four villages from which children are admitted into the school include; Asabaala, Asaelegun, Asaelegbada and Agewen.

S.T.A.R. Foundation Mission School, the organization’s free school project focuses not academic needs of the children but also equips them with knowledge of valuable skills, as well as Christian discipleship.

The school provides learning materials, school uniforms, books, bags, shoes and all other school necessities free of charge to admitted children.

Over 1500 children have been educated through the free school project and the impact of this on the villages cannot be overemphasized.

At first the organization leased a building for the activities of the school but in January 2021, the owners of the building requested that the school vacate the premises. Presently, the foundation is working assiduously to provide a suitable learning environment for the children.
